Lightroom Classic CC freezes when inverting display on iMAC (alt ctrl cmd 8)

When I invert the display on my iMAC (alt ctrl cmd 8) Lightroom Classic CC freezes.

This is a simple way to fine tune darker parts of images.

Anything I could do?

In the Develop module try the Shadow adjustment slider. Holding down the option key while moving it to the right or left will show you the mask. You can also use the Curves control. The best way to learn how to fine tune your images is to tap the Auto button and see what changes are being made in the various sliders and continue to make your adjustments from there.
