Adobe Lightroom CC for iOS has been updated to version 4.0.2 stating camera support for the new iPhone XR. I can't however, turn on the technology preview for making depth map photo's, although the iPhone XR does support this.
Ah didn’t know about this option. They probably didn’t update the tech
preview code to include other phones that have the capability. You probably
have to wait until they release an update to the app

I think this only works with HEIC images shot with the native camera app, not with the lightroom camera.
From: How to apply local adjustments to photos based on color, luminance, and depth information
Note:
Depth Range Mask is available for only those photos that have embedded depth map data. As of now, this is limited to HEIC files captured on Apple iPhone 7+, 8+ and X, XS, XS MAX, XR (see the list of supported Apple iPhones) using the Portrait mode in the built-in iOS camera app. If there is no available depth info for an image, Depth option is disabled in the Range Mask drop-down.

That's true, but it must be enabled first before it works: https://blogsimages.adobe.com/jkost/files/2019/08/06Depth-Map.jpg
This option is not (yet) available on my iPhone XR even after the 4.0.2 update.

That is surprising as the option is available in settings >> tech previews on my iPhone 8+
When launching the LR camera app depth capture is under the Pro menu.

I guess the added camera support is something different than the technology preview then. Maybe it's just the lens correction profiles. I'll wait for the next update and if it's not there yet, contact Adobe.

You should be able to get the exact same result by shooting in portrait
mode in the iOS camera and importing into Lightroom
