Hi,

Two persons are using the same LR catalog on one Windows 10 machine but access LR and it's catalog by two different Windows accounts. Everything runs smooth, collections and editing is synced. However, the ratings or color tags are not synced when accessing the LR catalog by two different Windows accounts. That's somehow annoying as I am used to tag the pictures differently when importing JPEGs or RAWs.

The option "Automatically write changes into XMP" is activated In catalog options.

Anyone knows how to sync ratings and tags?

Thanks.

Some of the settings are stored in each User Account. Usually in the AppData folder under each UserName in either Local or Roaming.

What where I'm not sure.

If you are really using the exact same catalog the ratings should be the same on both accounts as rating and flags are stored in the catalog file. It sounds like perhaps you are using xmp files to sync but with different .lrcat files which is a completely different beast. There you need to make sure to read from the files every time you start up Lightroom on the other account. Just turning on automatic writing to xmp does not do the trick. If you use the same catalog (.lrcat file) in both accounts, everything should be the same and you don't need to turn on automatic xmp writing.
