Hi there,
I've been having this trouble alot where edges become wierd after putting blocks on top of eachother. Eventhough I make sure they are lined with smartguides, I get these wierd edges which makes me believe the edges are not lined up. So my question is if this will effect the end logo or can I do something to stop thing happening, with possibly using the pathfinder in some way?
Here's one example.
Vrooomstah,
What happens if you Ctrl/Cmd+E to toggle away from GPU to CPU, then try the zooming?
This is what GPU is about:

Apart from an inadequate card, the issue can be caused by lack of driver updating, lack of proper recognition of the card by the computer, and whatnot (including rifts in the spa

I would use the align tool with the first rectangle as the key object (select both objects, then click on the rectangle again to make it a key object) and then align to top. Once properly aligned, I would either use pathfinder unite or Shapebuilder to make this one object because if you are building logos, it is best to have as simplified shapes as possible.

Do you have a white stroke applied?

I found out why. This happens quite often when zooming in and out. If putting on "Overprint preview" and then "CPU" like Jacob said it was fixed.

Thank you for sharing, Vrooomstah.
That is one of the strangenesses often encountered with GPU. You may be able to keep the GPU (working properly) if you can update the card or something as described.

Hi Vrooomstah,
If Jacob's answer is correct, please mark it as the correct answer.
Thanks!
