A former term for PICA was Suite Pea (SP). Suites that are part of PICA all start with the suffix SP; for example, SPBasicSuite.

How to interpret the term "Suite Pea". Is it a pea that is a vegetable? What's the point? And if a pea is only one pea, why is prefix SP used for signing Suite (as for SPBasicSuite) that is set of some related methods. Sorry, my understanding of English is not perfect yet.

It's a joke, but you're correct in assuming it only works in English.

'Suite' from the fact that the API uses suites. 'Pea' from 'Sweet Pea' from a kind of plant native to Sicily, Cyrpus & Greece.

At least, that's how I've always taken it.
