Hi

I was wondering if I could set up a document for signature but schedule the send for later (or save to send later)?

Thanks

Hi there,

By default, there is no option in Adobe Sign to schedule a document to be sent later.

If you wish to send the document later, you can set up the document and save it in drafts.

You can also save the document as a template and then simply use that template when you wish to send the document.

Refer to the steps mentioned here Create a library template.

Hope that helps.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Meenakshi

This is a glaring problem and I cannot believe Adobe does not have a schedule send feature, one of the most basic email features in existence.

Use case: we are a nonprofit doing small business PPP closing documents. Our Signer 1 is a staff member who is a form filler, Signer 2 is the client and the first signer, and Signer 3 is a manager and the second signer. Because we are short on staff and have to hire temps to process PPP loans, we have a temp staff member who can only work for a few hours at night. This temp is Signer 1, form filler. They fill out a PPP loan agreement at night, and want to have it sent for signature to the client in the morning. The document MUST be sent for signature as soon as possible, so it cannot wait until the temp next works. The temp (and us managers) do not want anyone to send a client a document for signature at 11 PM or 12 AM. It appears to pressure the client to fill out and sign it at that time, and the client is do desperate for PPP funds that s/he just might do it. The temp is working on several of these in any given evening shift, and just needs to schedule them to go out the following morning at 8 AM. I'm sharing the use case with Adobe so that it can see why this basic feature is a must. It's having a real impact on real people's lives. It will literally be waking people up in the middle of the night and stressing them.

I think your use case makes a lot of sense, and the ability to send agreements is an existing feature request, but before you ask I've no idea as to how, let alone when..

There are some alternatives to consider. They revolve around the idea that the night temp worker is doing all the prep for the agreements (the prefill and setting up recipients etc), but having another user actually send the agreement in the morning.

The tool that let's you do this is the Gigasign tool:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/document-cloud-learn/sign-learning-hub/develop/custom/gigasi...

Instead of prefilling the agreements in Sign one by one, the temp worker adds all this details into a csv file in Excel (or other CSV editor) The CSV contains info about the recipients (signer2 and signer3 in your example above, but they become signer1 and signer 2, as there's no longer a need for a form filler), a message, agreement name and reminder  and expiration schedule if needed and any fields the temp worker would prefill.

They save the csv then nex morning, a person takes this csv and uses the Gigasign tool to send out all agreements.

If you have access to power automate you can fully automate this process and have the temp worker populate a Sharepoint list and user Power Automate to send agreement automatically from this list per a set schedule.

Are there any delays on putting in a delay send feature? Seems like this was first reported in 2018 with a update in 2021 that nothing has been done.

How about 2023??

Hi Hardy31318815flo0,

Thank you for reaching out.

The feature to send the agreement with a delay is not available in Acrobat Sign. You may share your suggestion about this with the team via the following page: https://adobesign.uservoice.com/forums/21617-acrobat-sign-general

Thanks,

Meenakshi
