I have a frame set to center the content when I place an Illustrator drawing and auto-fit turned off because I want it to stay at 100%. My problem is that when I change the drawing and update the link, the drawing does not stay centered in the frame.
I could do this in InDesign CS6, but I might have used a script... can't remember. Any suggestions?
Of course, once you replace the contents you can right click and choose to center content, but that is an extra step and you probably already knew about that.
You can submit an enhancement request Feature Request/Bug Report Form
I think it would be a great enhancement.

You must have been using a script. The only options for fitting within a frame are listed in Frame Fitting Options dialog, and unfortunately, center content in frame is not one of the choices.

I was hoping "Align From" might be controlling that. Oh well, thanks.

Hi Barbara,
Please share this link for InDesign feature requests: Adobe InDesign Feedback. This is the best way of communicating with the Engineering and Product Management teams regarding issues and suggestions so they can be implemented in future releases.

I've made a note of the link. Why is there not a central link for users to give feedback on Adobe applications, instead of multiple links?

Unfortunately, there is no such location for feedback yet although that's a good idea.
Several applications (but not all) have a link in the Help menu of their application. Choose Submit Bug/Feature Request in InDesign, Illustrator and Bridge and it will take you to the UserVoice page for those apps. It's not in Photoshop, and I haven't looked in the applications I don't use regularly.

Hi Barbara,
All the products are managed by different teams in different countries. The link which you shared earlier is the common link for all applications. Now the product teams are handling the Bugs/Feature request from their own UserVoice links, where if an issue/feature request is already reported then other users can simply upvote. A higher number of votes means a high priority Bug/Feature Request.
It is easy to communicate with engineering teams through UserVoice link.

It would help if each team would use the same location (the Help menu) for the link to their own UserVoice area, however.

You might try asking in the InDesign Scripting forum.

I hope I'm allowed to post this here, but I finally tracked down the script that does this. It solved an earlier issue, but works as I described above and still works with CC:

Anchor the image in a text frame and make its position via object style where you can center it in the page via anchored frame options.
