Please don't post Crash reports in the forum. Post them on pastebin and then post a link in here.

Does that happen with any SVG file?

Is the SVG file valid?

Can Inkscape open it? If so open it in Inkscape.

Can you open the SVG in Inkscape? And export a PDF from there?

It's just that Illustrator can not open all SVGs. Actually it's not opening them at all, but importing them, since SVG is not a native file format for Illustrator.

And if you want to get your file into it, you will have to find workarounds. Using Inkscape is one of those workarounds.

If you want to help improve Illustrator's import module, then please post ths as a bug report on http://illustrator.uservoice.com

Lady. READ WHAT I AM SAYING.

Don't yell at me.

If you can't download Inkscape for this task, then that's it.

You might want to contact Illustrator developers via http://illustrator.uservoice.com. They might ask for the file so they can test it, because without the actual file it will be impossible to advise anything.

Another option is to contact Customer Care at Contact Customer Care

This is a user forum. Only people marked "Staff" are actually staff. I'm just a volunteer trying to help you with your file. Obviously you have issues with that.

You haven't been any help and refuse to write INKSPACE for some reason.

Why do you attempt to instruct people when you have no clue what you are doing?

Please refer a person I can communicate with that knows something about Adobe Illustrator.

Please advise!!!!

I'm trying to tell you to download the open source Inkscape to try and open your file at all. Then export from there to get it into Illustrator. Sorry for assuming you know it. Get it at www.inkscape.org

Is it only this file that gives you issues? Or all your SVGs? Even simple ones?

And yes Ihave referred you 2 times: if you want to contact the developers, write in the uservoice space.

It would have been helpful for you to use the Wacom in your description. It appears as though it is an Android app for a tablet or phone. I’m not surprised you are having problems on a Mac. Can you post a screenshot to give us an idea of what you are working with?

Hi Thomas,

As per the crash report you shared, you are using Illustrator CS5.1 on High Sierra. CS5 was released almost 7-8 years ago, I'm afraid that it has been discontinued and is no longer compatible with today's operating systems. That could also be a possible reason behind the problem you are facing.

Please refer to this link Older versions of Adobe Illustrator system requirements, CS5 is not compatible with anything beyond Mac OS X v10.5.7 or v10.6.

Regards,

Srishti
