    getURL With Text File Variable?

    Thatnickname
      I'm trying to make dynamic URL's on a site. The user can enter the name and URL of each link which is a dynamic text transformed into a button. Now my question is, is it possible to do such a thing? Can the animation go get the URL in a text file and apply it on a particular button?

      Example:

      &URLTitle=This Link&
      &URL=http://www.thislink.com/&

      So the button would read "This Link" and the link when you click on it would be http://www.thislink.com/

      Thank you

            button action :

            getURL (URL, "_blank");

            pretty much it...

            once you input variable, whether dynamic or into input box, they are
            available so all you need is an action with expression same as the variable name.

              That works but I've just encountered another problem:

              Both my button text and my URL are dynamic from a text file so that the customer can be independant and put what he wants in it. Example:

              &buttonText=Adobe&
              &buttonURL=http://www.adobe.com&

              Then I make a dynamic text field with the var name set to buttonText and in the button action I write:

              on (release) {
              getURL(_root.buttonURL,"_self");
              }

              But here's the thing, in dynamic text, the button symbol does not appear as a button but rather a text field. The only way it appears as a button is when I put static text in it...

              How can I make these buttons...buttons :P (in other words how can I make these dynamic text field buttons?)

              Thanks :)
