Why does my client not see the Auto Date Option Tab on fillable pdf

I have just sent out a fillable form that has a field with an auto date option. It works fine for me. However, when I send it out, the client does not see the tab for the drop down option of the calendar. They obviously can just type it in, but that wasn't the point. Any help as to why they might not see that on their reader would be helpful. Thank you  Norbert

Does the client use Acrobat Reader DC?

No, they have an older version of Acrobat Reader I believe. I will have to check. I didn't think that would matter. But I suppose it should. If so, would they just upgrade theri Reader for free.

Old versions doesn't have this feature.

Yes, Reader updates are free, since it's a free application...
