I don't need/want this palette. How do I force it never to come up again?

ALL of its functionality is accessible through modifier keys and this is the most annoying "feature" in CC 2015 (other than all the other annoying "features").

Getting some deja vu here! Do you have a five-year itch?

How do I get rid of the free transform panel?

I don't think anything has changed unfortunately.

Yep. I actually looked for that original post.

An associate was wondering what it was so I thought I'd revisit it.

An unorthodox suggestion, but hopefully helpful method. Drag it behind somewhere, to make it disappear hidden behind another palette.

When you hit E to go to transform tool, will act as if it never existed.

To get it back hit tab key, to hide other palettes.

Hope that helps Mr Craighead to end his suffrage, as he has helped me on  many questions.

Thanks for the kind word, Mike. Mr Craighead?? Am I really that old.

I just have to vent once in a while. One of these days I muster the courage to install CC 2019.

Nice that one can stash it this way, but frankly: That's just a UI sin.

The same goes for the tiny 3D widget.

The tool options could/should be stored in the Control palette or the Properties palette.
