Difficulty opening CR2 images

I'm pretty sure I've been able to open CR2 images in my Lightroom in previous situations, but for some reason it's not recognizing the CR2 files this time and when I go to import from a file on my desktop it shows that the image is unavailable. Help?

Supported cameras and the version of Lightroom Classic CC required to read them.

Which Canon camera are the files from? Which version of Lightroom Classic CC are you running (Help > System Info)?
