Hi, Sandra. Can you give us some more info, please? When you say "the tools are not responding", do you mean all tools? Specific tools? What happens when you try to use them? Are you getting any error messages? What version of Photoshop are you using?

We'd love to try and help, but definitely need more information.

Photoshop tools not working.

The question is very vague. We need more information to be able to give you any meaningful help.

ITS photoshop cc.

Unfortunately there are many versions of Photoshop CC. Adobe's naming conventions leave a LOT to be desired. They're very unclear and confusing but Adobe stubbornly refuses to change them.

To see exactly which version you are running, inside Photoshop, click Help > System Info.

Copy and paste the first 10 or so lines from that box here.

Hi Sandra,

Here are the questions that John asked on your first thread that we don’t have answers to yet:

  • Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?
Recent Mac and Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

  • Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

  • Exactly which version of the program do you have that is causing problems

  • what error message do you see?

To get the exact version of Photoshop CC, go to Photoshop > About (Mac) or Help > About (Windows) and give us the number.

That‘s strange — you can reset the preferences manually:

Close Photoshop, then hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and relaunch Photoshop. Respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences.

Are you typing these numbers out or copying and pasting them? The first line is a mystery.

The first 3 lines in my Help > System Info shows

Which version of Photoshop and OS?

Have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences.
