SnakEyez02 Jan 30, 2008 5:38 PM (in response to ottz0)I would say it depends on what they are selling. If it is something that you could give commission away, check out www.cj.com .
If you are just trying to get traffic pay Google and Yahoo some money for top listings. Or you could consider paying for advertising space on other sites that are similar in content to your client's. Local news channels or newspapers are also good ways to advertise a website (whether it be in online or other advertising). -

Karlhevera Apr 23, 2008 3:46 AM (in response to ottz0)A related topic. I am developing a website, which hopefully will attract some advertisers/sponsors. Is there a site and/or book I could learn from on how to handle advertising within my site and the host? -

SEOConsultant Apr 23, 2013 6:19 PM (in response to hallwen)Internet Marketing includes:
- Search Engines Optimization -aka- SEO -
Pay Per Click - aka- PPC -
Social Media Optimization -aka- SMO
There is only room for so many companies to show up in front of consumers on the search engines. Many of the top searches in each industry bring up websites that have top placement due to search engine optimization. It's competitive out there. You need a competitive approach to beat your competition. I encourage you to do everything you can to grow your business. If you decide to do internet marketing for yourself, then be prepared to spend a lot of time and money to get the results you want.
Thanks, Jon -

MurraySummers Nov 26, 2010 8:20 AM (in response to SEOConsultant)It has been my experience that people who respond to months old posts with answers that sound like a company prospectus are usually just spamming the forums, so to speak. In particular, posts asking about search engine methods seem to attract such posts even years later. I'm just sayin....
Let the buyer beware.

mindfulmichelle Nov 29, 2010 12:58 PM (in response to MurraySummers)There are numerous ways to advertise a website. First off it depends on the size of your company's budget for PPC on Google..
Find some targeted keywords and base your advertising around your competition. (Check out your competition first)
If you are looking for free ways I would definately have a page devoted to their site on Facebook.
Do some Facebook PPC and possibly tie it all in with a You tube video..
