Huge rendering files (9 mb) for 5 pages?

I need to print a 5 page document in Flash paper. Just plain text. Whether I print directly to Flash paper to generate the .swf, or go via a .pdf file, when I go to print it, the rendered file is 9 megabytes!!!! (even though the created .swf file is only 100 kilobytes in size).

This happens even if I first run the text through Word Pad or even Notepad and save in Courier font.

This is absurd. I don't know what the problem is with rendering file sizes with Flash paper (using Windows XP to print), but this makes Flash Paper almost unusable.
