I'm building an interactive in Director 3D where the user can
build a ring by selecting gemstones, wire decorations, settings
etc. I'm a complete novice where it comes to shaders and textures
and wondered is anyone had any tips into getting a really shiny
metal texture. I only seem to get a rather matt finish with a bit
of shine. Is there a way of layering shaders or textures to get the
defined reflections you see in real life.
The ring is suspended against a black backdrop and lit with
two spots from the left and right of the camera, if that helps.
