Is anyone else experiencing problems with RH7 eating manual line feeds?

Try creating a numbered step something like this:

1. Click OK. <press Shift+Enter to insert a manual line feed>
<insert a user-defined variable> prints a receipt.

If you go to the HTML view or you close the project, RH7 removes the <BR> tag and brings the variable back up to the previous line.

I have experienced this myself.

My workaround was to use the CSS style sheet to create a style that mimics a line break in this instance.

The use of BR tags in lists is really not good practice, particularly if you have to generate printed doc as well as online help.

See Snippet 50 on Peter Grainge's web site for info on nested lists. In addition, styles don't work well for lists either; you're better off keeping Normal style and selecting list item blocks and using the RH Bullet/Number toolbar icons.

Good luck,
Leon
