OK. Been experimenting a little with line weights and get it as well now.

What you can do is set it up like this:

Bildschirmfoto 2019-03-17 um 23.56.10.png

You need to experiemnt a little with the straight part on the left. It needs to be shorter.

Maybe:

Also this design doesn't work too well when the end of the path is curvy.

This behaviour cannot be desriable, so you should also post it on: http://illustrator.uservoice.com

You need to open the Arrowheads.ai document on your computer.

Inside it there's a step by step instruction what to do.

Where to find the document: Vektorgarten - Illustrator-Settings, Preferences, Templates, Libraries

Its the box that surrounds the other two paths, i just haven't selected it, thats why its not visible. Its like the boxes that the Arrowheads have.

please, describe step by step your actions from opening the file to trying to use the ready arrowhead in your artwork. If possible, with screenshots. This will be very helpful to locate a problem.

It's doubtful. This technique is quite old, there is no points for a bug. Try please to review the workflow, maybe you even find the point by yourself

And at least this will help us to help you

This time after restart is seems to work fine... strange cause i was doing this thing before. Anyway, this time i noticed some else on a different arrow i created. In the pic im attaching, the top arrow is the one in Arrowheads, whereas the bottom is the arrow as it seems when applied to the end of a line. Shouldnt they be the same?

There is one issue with your arrow that it's not exact.

Bildschirmfoto 2019-03-17 um 22.14.43.png

Apart from that I don't get the result that you get - and I have CC2017 as well.

But I would still suspect it's the rectangle. You don't need it. All the other arrows have it, but you don't need it.
