Flex with Java/.NET in the backend

Does anyone has an opinion as to what is the preferred (easier/more difficult) technology to use in the back end to work with Flex as a front-end. In terms of Java, it could be a Spring/Hibernate mix, whereas if it would be a .NET, possible a C# with ADO.NET. I currently have an option to choose both and there is no learning curve in either (only in flex). As a way of background, this is a web-based application currently in the "design" phase.

      Thoughts?
