Should I subscribe separately to Adobe Sign & Adobe Document Cloud? Is Adobe DC enough?

Hi folks,

I just signed up for a free trial of Adobe Sign because I was hoping to access template PDFs for use in my business - specifically, documents which include signature fields to be sent to clients/ partner companies (for example, non-disclosure agreements).  As noted, I've subscribed to a free trial of Adobe Sign, but on further research I realised that in order to obtain templates, I would actually need to access the PDF Pack, which comes free with (as part of) a subscription to Adobe Document Cloud (a separate service, in addition to my existing trial of Adobe Sign).  I am poised on the verge of signing up for a free trial of Adobe Document Cloud but thought I should ask the community for clarification before I proceed..  This is because it now appears that a subscription to Adobe Document Cloud on its own is probably sufficient for my needs, as it includes the ability to edit documents to include a signature field which is then sent to a client or partner company (a document which I would have either created from a template in the Adobe DC PDF Pack, or downloaded directly from the Adobe DC PDF Pack..)

My primary question is therefore:  Should I cancel my free trial of Adobe Sign in favour of a free trial of Adobe Document Cloud?  I would of course move on to a subscription for Adobe Document Cloud assuming it proves adequate for my needs..  Would it be silly to have a subscription to both services..?  Does a subscription to Adobe DC make Adobe Sign redundant?  My brain says it would seem to be silly to have a subscription to both services - but I'm not 100% sure if Adobe DC with PDF Pack would have sufficient signature-based functionality (in terms of getting documents signed, editing document fields & so on)..  Should I cancel my trial of Adobe Sign itself, in favour of a trial of Adobe DC with PDF Pack..?

Many thanks for your thoughts on the matter.

Kind Regards,

Simon Thorpe

Hi Simon,

The Adobe Document Cloud is the PDF and e-signature tools solution integrated across desktop, mobile, and web.

You do not need a subscription for Document Cloud but for the services included under the Adobe Document Cloud.

You may refer to the following help document for detailed information on Document Cloud Adobe Document Cloud FAQ

If you take the Adobe PDF pack subscription, the Adobe Sign individual service plan will be included in that.

The Adobe Sign free trail that you are using consists of all the Enterprise service level features except the integration. You may not find all those options under the individual service level plan.

Now as you have mentioned about the templates you will be required, could you please elaborate the type of templates you are looking for.

There is an option to add the templates in Adobe Sign. That means you can create templates and save in it Adobe Sign account to be used in the future.

If you can share with us the workflow and feature you are looking for, we will be able to provide you the information accordingly.

Also, please take a look at this help link Adobe Sign plans for individuals and businesses | Adobe Document Cloud to check the available Adobe Sign service plans.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Meenakshi
