Recording White Slides

I record presentations of professors in front of students lecturing with power point at a University with Captivate 3.
Some of these presentations go on past the 2 hour mark and the resulting Captivate project has about 570 slides, amongst this project are large chunks of about 30 slides with audio but only white and blank. I know that there's still an image there as the professors was still lecturing but not sure why large parts of project only have white slides.
Any ideas?
