    Newbie problem with navigateToURL

    Geovisualize

      I'm trying to learn Flex 2 at the moment and I'm working on extending the RSS feed example provided for newbies like me.

      I want to have a click event that returns a URL show that webpage in a specific container. As far as I can tell I am constrained by _self, _top, _parent, and _blank -- but it seems like there must be a way for me to point it toward one of the panels I am using instead.

      I have a panel with a canvas inside it called webView - I just want to have this canvas display the URL grabbed with the linkbutton click event.

      Here's my code:

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
      <mx:Application xmlns:mx=" http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"

      layout="absolute" creationComplete="feedRequest.send(),feedRequest2.send()" cornerRadius="0" backgroundGradientColors="[#eaeaea, #808080]">

      <mx:HTTPService id="feedRequest" url=" http://www.who.int/feeds/entity/csr/disease/avian_influenza/en/rss.xml" useProxy="false"/>
      <mx:Panel x="10" y="10" width="475" height="337" layout="absolute" title="WHO Avian Flu RSS Feed -- {feedRequest.lastResult.rss.channel.title}" borderColor="#c0c0c0">
      <mx:DataGrid x="20" y="20" id="dgPosts" width="400" dataProvider="{feedRequest.lastResult.rss.channel.item}">
      <mx:columns>
      <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Posts" dataField="title" />
      <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Date" dataField="pubDate" width="150" />
      </mx:columns>
      </mx:DataGrid>
      <mx:TextArea x="20" y="185" width="400" htmlText="{dgPosts.selectedItem.description}" height="52"/>
      <mx:LinkButton x="20" y="242" label="Read Full Post" click="navigateToURL(new URLRequest(dgPosts.selectedItem.link),'_self');" />
      </mx:Panel>

      <mx:Panel x="10" y="355" width="958" height="635" layout="absolute" borderColor="#000080">
      <mx:Canvas x="10" y="10" width="527" height="575" id="webView">
      </mx:Canvas>
      </mx:Panel>

      </mx:Application>

      Thanks in advance for your assistance..
