    Image changing colour

    spookydel
Hi there, hope someone can help me...

I've noticed recently that when I'm opening some images in Fireworks, it is changing the colour scheme - ie it is currently a 2 tone dark and lighter blue logo, but when I open it in Fireworks it changes to a paler blue and turquoise. If I open it with anything else, it's fine, only fireworks which makes me think I've got a setting switched or something.

Can anyone shed any light of this, I'm tearing my hair out over it!

Was it designed in CMYK color space? If yes, that's probably what's
causing the color shift. Fireworks is RGB based.

You know, I've got absolutely no idea - it was done by a design company (probably on a mac) then shipped over here - but alas before I started the job. - However that would kind of make sense as the other logo they did for us does the same thing...

Is there any way to fudge it so it thinks it's RGB?

            Cheers

If you have Photoshop, or whichever program it was designed in, you can
convert to to sRGB before exporting it to use in Fireworks.
