    image size from clients

    Level 7
I am so used to getting poor images from clients and their digital cameras
that I have never really thought about the best way to get them.
I now have a client who is a designer for print and can send me images any
      way I like.
I want them large enough so I have my own options for optimizing but I'm not
sure about what resolution to ask for or does that not make a great deal of
difference in the long run ?
      thanks Joe

Resolution doesn't matter as much as dimensions for Web development. If
he sends you a high resolution image (i.e. 300 ppi)in a large size, by
the time you get done resampling it down to a reasonable enough size to
use on a Web page, you are going to loose all the detail available at
          that high resolution anyway.
