    increment properties

    andylt1
      ok here's my querie.
please be aware that i am new at coding and just starting to get to grips with it.

      now how would i
      1. setup a rollover to blend from 0 to 100 on mouse over to an over image

      2. move a button to a certain point on mouse over

i currently am able to setup a rolover to swap an image and it just snaps on and off. and able to move an image to a certain point (say plus 10 in x) which also just pops.

so how do i increment this type of action to go from a to b hope this makes sense

any advice or directions to a tut would be great

      thanx

          Hi Andy,

          I have Director tutorials at:
          http://www.fbe.unsw.edu.au/learning/director/

Don't have any specifivally on what you're answering but here's some info.

          > 1. setup a rollover to blend from 0 to 100 on mouse over to an over image

          on mouseEnter me
          sprite(me.spriteNum).blend = 100
          end

          on mouseLeave me
          sprite(me.spriteNum).blend = 0
          end

The above will set the blend to 100 when you move teh cursor over the sprite and
back to 0 when you move off it.

sprite(me.spriteNum) is a way of identifying the sprite that the behavior is
          atatched to.

          > 2. move a button to a certain point on mouse over

          on mouseEnter me
          sprite(me.spriteNum).locH = sprite(me.spriteNum).locH + 200
          sprite(me.spriteNum).locV = sprite(me.spriteNum).locV + 200
          end

The above moves the sprite's horizonal and veritical position by 200 pixels so it
will move 200 to the right and 200 down.

          > i currently am able to setup a rolover to swap an image and it just snaps on
          > and off. and able to move an image to a certain point (say plus 10 in x) which

Actually, reading the above part, sound liek you may want the effect to be animated
rather than just a hard change. If that's the case, for belnd, you could just
create a film loop that has the animated change and then do a switch to the
filmloop on rollover. Do you want the animated effect of the sprite moving across
the screen as well? You could always jump to another frame where you have that set
up. Anywya, I may have misunderstood what you've asked. Hope this has been helpful.
If you need more info, let me know.
