    Flex 2 help file

    ekokurtz
I was just curious if anyone knew if the help contents for Flex builder makes a connection to the internet when it opens. My work monitors internet/bandwidth usage, and I am curious to know if having the help file open creates an open connecftion.

      thanks

the help files are local i believe, i use them all the time from a machine with no internet access, even if it did run an update check or something the bandwidth would be nominal

Okay, I was just curious because any of the options on the Flex Builder start page look like they take you to an outside website (noticed when mousing over)

The help files are local, but you may be seeing extra activity because
the Eclipse help system runs tomcat.
