          on the main timeline put:

          myBtn.onRelease=function(){
          getURL("mailto:yourEmailAddy")

            Hello Ross,

            No problem. Make your button with the text of your e-mail address. (I do not recommend having a button read "e-mail me" because not everyome has a mail application configured and at least they could copy-paste the text into their mail account if necessary. They will know how to contact you, without fail.)

            The code is.....if you put the code on the button.....

            on(release){
            getURL("mailto:yourname@yoursite.com");
            }

            OR......

            Best practice is to put all of your script on the first frame, so you would define the function of the button if you are to do it this way. Give the button an instance name.

            instancename.onRelease = function() {
            getURL("mailto:yourname@yoursite.com");
            };

            Take care !!!

              There is a good tutorial on how to send email directly from Flash with php HERE. So, from your portfolio, User can just fill out a couple fields and push a button, rather than open up a third-party email program. Not a big deal, either way. But, it may be cool to do it this way. The tutorial, Sending mail with php, is about half way down the left-menu.
