    webserver Development

I have flex builder 2 installed on a Win2k3 Server, it is a dev machine running IIS.
I am developing for domain http://dev.sample.com/
I created a source path entry to copy the bin files into the live web in a folder called fb.

How do I make FlexBuilder 2 launch the app using http://dev.sample.com/fb/main.swf instead of the C:\ local file system?

This app also loads other project apps and refrences swc files in other projects, should I point them all to the same fb folder to build to since they share swc resources or can I point them each to their own folder such as fb/app1 and fb/app2?

      Thanks,

      Mike

          Hi Mike,

If you're using the standalone version, go to Run > Run > Other... In the list on the left, choose the name of your main application. Then, under "URL or path to launch", uncheck "Use defaults", and enter the HTTP URL into the "Run" textfield.

If you're linking these statically (i.e., you didn't set up your project to use them as runtime shared libraries), then you don't need to put them into the destination folder on your webserver--their contents will get linked into the application at compile time, so all you need on the web server is the compiled application SWF.

          Thanks,
