    no more rowRenderer for DataGrid?

      What happened to setting the rowRenderer for DataGrid?
      In Flex 1.5 I used a custom RowRenderer to change the look of the rollover and selection animation and I also used it to set a warning background color to the entire row based on data in the DataGrid's dataProvider.

      If there is no rowRenderer then now what should I do/use?

      Please don't tell me I have to extend DataGrid and make my own component to do this. erg.

          erg indeed,
          extending DataGrid and making my own component was exactly what I had to do.
          at least they made it convenient and limited the row drawing to two functions:

          override protected function drawRowBackgournds():void
          and
          protected function drawRowBackGround(s:Sprite, rowIndex:int, y:Number, height:Number, color:uint, dataIndex:ing):void
