    Output from an Xtra

    mjacoby
      Is there a reason I would get this type of output when I call a method from an Xtra?

      <Object list 1 b846770>

      It usually returns a list of int values. . .

      Thanks in advance,

      Marc

          This would most likely be because you're using Director MX2004 and you
          are calling a method in a MIAW (or otherwise using the new DOM reference
          syntax) to call a handler that returns a list (or other high-level data
          type).
          For example, syntax like the following might cause this bug:
          tList = window("name").movie.handler()
          where the #movie-script handler() returns a list.

            That's it! I am calling a method that returns a list from a MIAW.

            Thanks Sean.

            But, aside from changing the structure of this project by not using a MIAW, how can I avoid this?

            Cheers,

              Change your call from the new window().movie.handler() syntax back to
              old-school 'tell':
              tell window("name") to tList = handler()
              -- use the returned list as you desire...
