                Dude, you can look up the Help documentation from right inside Flash.
                It'll tell you what works for that version and what doesn't. e.g., look up
                "onEnterFrame" ... see if you find it. If you don't, you'll know your
                version of Flash is too early to support that. Look up function, look up
                Math (Math.ceil); look up getTimer(), and so on. There are only a handful
                of terms to look up. ;)

                  As Stiller mentioned use the helpdocs. I typically find my answers in the helpdocs/livedocs by simply hitting F1 (for Windows) in Flash. However after looking up all of the keywords in the code I provided it should still work for your version of Flash. Flash MX came out before my time so I am may be overlooking something here. What errors if any are you getting? What exactly is it doing or not doing?

                    I use MX and found that this works on the first frame:
                    stop();
                    function moveOn(){
                    gotoAndStop(2)
                    }
                    setInterval(moveOn,10000);

                    Dont forget to add a stop(); to your second frame also.

                    OK , I think he got message about the Help facilities within flash. A little help is encouraging. Besides, what are forums for

                        Definitely, forums are for help. :) I didn't mean to sound harsh in my
                        reply, either (I don't *think* I did, but how knows ...). I've seen other
                        entries by the same person asking the same thing: does xyz work in my
                        version of Flash?

                        The best help anyone can give, I think, is to give a person the tools he
                        or she needs to help him- or herself.

                          Seph - i tried that code in a new Flash document, and it works fine.

                          > > what are forums for

                          Well, really, forums are for when you've exhausted the usual methods of
                          *helping yourself*. I would include the help files and searching for an
                          answer in forums, and elsewhere (i.e. Goolge) in this category.

                          Indeed. 'Give a man a fish and he may eat for a day...' etc :)--
