    Security error accessing url

      I've written an application in Flex 2 / Flex Builder which accesses an external http xml data source - this works fine when launched from the builder or directly from the bin directory, but as soon as I move the required files (html, swf and javascript) out of the bin directory I get the following error

      [RPC Fault faultString="Security error accessing url" faultCode="Channel.Security.Error" faultDetail="Destination: DefaultHTTP"]
      at mx.rpc::AbstractInvoker/ http://www.adobe.com/2006/flex/mx/internal::faultHandler()
      at mx.rpc::Responder/fault()
      at mx.rpc::AsyncRequest/fault()
      at ::DirectHTTPMessageResponder/securityErrorHandler()
      at flash.events::EventDispatcher/flash.events:EventDispatcher::dispatchEventFunction()
      at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent()
      at flash.net::URLLoader/flash.net:URLLoader::redirectEvent()

      I'm aware of the need for a crossdomain.xml file, but I don't understand why my application works when in the bin directory but fails as soon as it's moved?
