Thanks kglad, I tried that out but to no avail!
Here is my fla, completely blank library except for the sound object.
and once again, I'm trying to make a sound object dynamically fade in at the start of a movie, and then fade out on(release) of a movie clip or something. The fading is the hardest part, I'm just having difficulties with it.
here's your corrected file:
thank you so much kglad. Before I mark this thread as being totally answered, is there any way I can slow the fade in to half of frame rate or anything as such?
And what code would I put on a movie clip to fade the sound out? I've tried doing what you've done but I can't figure it out.
you're welcome. for more flexibility controlling sound fades you can use the prototype function below. it adds a new method to the sound class that lets you fade your sound from startVol to endVol in duration seconds. you can fade the volume up or fade the volume down. attach the code to the first frame of your swf.
