    Adobe, what are you waiting to fix bugs !

      Hi !
      First of all, i'm a FW addict !
      I can call me a expert, sorry for my modesty.

      6 months ago, I buy FW8, and since the begin I encounter the same M@*#... trouble.
      FW8 crash my .png and display "Could not open file. Not enough memory".

      I've read the thread from Linda...but i promise i'm absolutly not in this case.
      In fact, i have loose so much files, time and money that I'm fed up !

      The best method for me to reproduce the bug is to paste a image
      (big one but not bigger than i pasted in FWmx2004 - example : http://www.sxc.hu/photo/606138 in 2592 x 1944)
      inside my layout; put or not a mask on it ...
      And BING !!!! Bye bye my work, I can open FWmx2004 and redo all my stuff !

      So I'm very disapointed each time I go to the support section and don't see any update of FW8.
      I don't understand...I'm not alone ...

      So please, work on it !

          I remember that we (I used to work on the Fireworks team for Macromedia)
          used to have file size limitations in older versions but didn't in the
          newer ones released. I just opened a 2964 x 1839 image in Fireworks 8
          and did not have any problem putting a mask on it, saving it, copying
          it, pasting into a new document, rotate the mask, etc. and did not
          encounter any problems.

          I suggest that you contact Adobe Support at 415-252-9080 or go to:

          http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/support/index.cfm?event=emailps&product=fireworks

          and post an email message to their support queue. You should place a
          sample PNG file on an FTP site so that the agents can download it and
          check your problem. All indicators are that your system is just running
          low on memory or your display card/driver resources are getting maxed out.

            Hi Mark and thanx for our answer.

            In fact, i've already been in contact with the adobe support team in Europe.

            They have my files ( the png, the imported images), they have call me back :
            They were able to reproduce the bug but they don't know why it happens !
            That's why I'm so disappointed, when I don't see any update ...

            I would like to use my FW8 !
