Director has a certain amount of memory allocated to the
program. It can be viewed with the memorySize property. Is there
any way to increase the amount of memory that Director can use?
Right now, the memorySize is set to the amount of physical RAM on
the PC (1 GB). Is it possible to get Director to use the HD virtual
RAM (page file) as part of the memory allocated to the program? Or
do I have to buy more physical RAM in order to increase the
available RAM for Director?
There are some memory options in the publish settings, maybe
you can specify you want to use more, and it will use the pagefile
if you specify more than the amount of physical available? buddyAPI
has some usefull functions for returning info about available
physical and virtual memory.. Can't remember if it has any controls
for specifying how much to allocate.
