That's it basically. Trying to avoid buying new version, if RH Office 9.1 will work on Windows XP, and can import Word 2003 docs, I'm all set.

Thanks. Nina

Update:
9.1 installs fine on XP. It does tell me that I have the wrong Word version, but it still works.

Once installed, you can't import Word 2003 files. You can first save Word 2003 as html, then import the html--but it creates a bunch of text boxes/table cells with your text in them. Takes some clean-up, but it works.

Hi Nina

As far as I am aware, 9.1 should work just fine on XP. I believe I've run it successfully on that platform. As for Word 2003 docs, I'm doubtful. As I understand it, only RoboHelp X5 fully updated can deal successfully with Word 2003 docs. But I'm not sure if it will import without issue. My gut tells me it may not work, but it is certainly worth a try.

Cheers... Rick

Rick, Thanks for your quick answer. I guess I'll install and give it a shot.

Take a look at the stuff on my site about importing. Perhaps that will help.
