fireworks - rollover - where to start

    lsuel Level 1
Hi - I have been given a site with navigation using graphics/javascript already. I need to make rollovers (text bold on hover). I wanted to use CSS but the owner insists on using a highly unusual font. Currently, in fireworks, the text that needs to have this rollover is included inside of slices that are hotlinks (area maps) and include images as well as the text. Do I remove all current slices and start making new ones, isolating the text as new slices? I'm a bit rusty on doing it this way.

Also, how do I make it so that the .html page being displayed shows the text in the down (bold) state?

The text you want to make rollovers of needs to be in its own slice. You
don't need to use the button editor. Just right click on the slice and
          choose Add Simple Rollover Behavior.

Hi - thank you for this answer. I've looked at the help file about this briefly, but I don't see how I'd align the text perfectly only bold with this method. I am probably missing something. The button editor has the "copy graphic" feature, which assures me things are in the correct place. Is there something similar with this feature, or am I going to have to align 2 slices together. I think I'm a bit in the dark here.

Just create a second frame and copy the text to it. It will copy into
the same position it has on the first frame. You don't need to create
additional slices, because the slices cut through all frames.
