    #include (k)

    Level 7
      I have used the actionscript #include in the past to grab an external
      .as file.

      I am working on a web banner that will reside on another site and want
      to connect this banner to the .as on our server. I have the absolute
      path in there with http://....

      But I get an error. Is there a way to call an ActionScript from a remote
      server? Or do #includes need to call from the same server the SWF
      resides on?

          #include is a compiler directive. You cannot use it to dynamically load
          scripts.

            #include can't be used here. It works only by compiler. You can embed
            your script into a movie, then load it dynamically into another movie.
            Then you can refer to the script within the loaded movieclip. But you
            must write appropriate script to make it work within a movieclip --
            not within the _root level.
