The answer is in the help files that I"m sure you spent the last two days reading very carefully? :) It is a good idea to explain a bit more what "nothings working for me" means – it helps us not come up with solutions that you've already tried.
In any event, I've had good luck with:
That leaves myXML object ready to receive more data, but removes the data.
Ya know I was looking for it all weekend..
But was looking at it from the whole file instead of just the node or attribute of the file...
and ofcourse loading another file w/ load() doesn't replace it just add
and there was no signs of a delete, unload or remove XML function in the docs.
So thats where i got lost..

Yeah, that is the trick with XML, you have to remember that the whole thing is also a node – sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees. Glad I was able to help.
