the onLoad() method only works for movieclips that are created in th authoring environment.
you should use preloader code:
i will give this a try tonight. in any case, thanks for this advice!
you're welcome. you haven't explained if you need the picx and picy properties or if you're just using them to determine when loading is complete.
in either situation you'll need to add something to preloadF() to meet your needs.
i need the picx and picy variable's to size another MC... In fact, i would like to create a new MC1 wich can be used as a button. This button will be positioned behind the "photo.jpg" and will contain a specific script to launch another MC, let's call it MC2, with a bigger version of "photo.jpg" when clicking on that button.
therefor, this new MC1 has to have the same sizes like the photo.jpg.
this works for me when using just one button movie... when using two button movies with the same script (only the photo.jpg to load is different) I always get the same photo... What's wrong? Do I have to delete the first created movieclips? and how do i have to do that?
mouseUp handlers execute whenever the left mouse button is released REGARDLESS of the mouse location. use an on(release) handler if you want different handlers to execute depending upon the mouse location.
