    HTTPService question

    globalview
      Here is a problem I'm having in ActionScript. I get different behavior when using the HTTPService mxml tag versus instantiating the class directly. If I use the following mxml:

      <mx:HTTPService id="myService" url="/someRelativePath/action.do" useProxy="false" method="POST"/>

      then in actionScript I call myService.send() the url is reached on the server. However, if in ActionScript I do this instead, the url on the server is not reached:

      var myService:HTTPService = new HTTPService();
      myService.method="POST";
      myService.userProxy=false;
      myService.url="/someRelativePath/action.do";
      myService.send();

      Can anyone tell me what's the difference between the two, and how I can get the second one to work?

      Thanks,
      Bob
