how to copy a flash file

    henryscooters.com
This is so confusing, here's my prob...

I am making a site with the same ad on top which takes up like 50 frames.
To make another page I need the same ad and I don't want to copy and paste each frame. It'll take forever! I need a way to copy that whole file and put it on my other one. (A whole different document.)
Could someone nice help me? Thanks in advance.

When you say "make another page," do you mean another HTML document?

If you have a Flash ad in one "page" (HTML document), you can embed that
SWF file in as many other pages as you please. Somehow, I think this isn't
what you mean, but Flash doesn't really have pages.

You could publish a SWF, then import that SWF into a new FLA. In that
case, it would be best to create a movie clip symbol in the new FLA and
import the SWF into the movie clip. In that way, you may conveniently drag
the imported SWF (and all its frames) in order to position it on the Stage.

You can also load a SWF at runtime via the loadMovie() function, the
MovieClip.loadMovie() method, or the MovieClipLoader class.

Thanks, i'll try it and see if it works. What i meant by another page was that I am making another page for my site in flash. It is a different fla file.

Gotcha. That may just confuse people in the forums. ;) Pages are for
HTML (and the like) ... "movie" or "SWF" for Flash content.

              > It is a different fla file.

Couldn't another approach be just to Save As, then make the desired
              changes in the new copy?
