    Flex and Flash

Can I as a developer hand a completed Flex application to a Flash designer to amend and add to the design of the application, e.g. add a new colour scheme, new logos even add extra SWF files?

well you can modify a wide range of visual elements using external CSS, If your asking if a designer can modify a compiled flex app then no, otherwise it would be limited only by the knowledge of the designer. You can of course build your application to be dynamic and dependant on external data, I did this with a client that had no knowledge of design or development using simple text files and a .net backend to parse the text into usable XML then fed to the flex app through HTTPservice components. They only had to be able to edit a simple ini file that contained, paragraphs, images and other nonsense.
