    Question on Roll Overs

    Bill_Wood-j68LmB
I need a little help here, and I'm sure many can help me.

I'm constructing a number of web pages that will have thumbnails on the left side - upon clicking them - I would like them to appear on a 525 by 525 space to the right of the thumnail. This site is for a church with many pictures. My first question would be - can Fireworks do this - my second - any painless way of doing it without knowing Javascript. I hoping to put all the thumbnails and larger pictures as source files - I would then export the whole solution - "images and html" into Dreamweaver. It might be a little too ambitious for me.

      Thanks all. This is a

            Bill,
This will do what you want. Has very well written instructions also.

And, if the images can be on top, you have a little cash, this will
            really do the job.

              SKB,

              Will it go horizontal?
I didn't think it did. That is why I didn't mention it.
But if it does - then by all means.

You can certainly do it manually with the SetTextofLayer behavior. And in
that case you could make it go diagonally if you wanted! 8)

I believe Image Gallery Magic will 'only' go horizontal (for the
                        thumbnail view).

When Bill said, "Thumbnails on the left, images displayed to the right",
I thought he was talking about a vertical setup.

Thank you all to the great community on Fireworks Forum. Certainly lots of information and have book marked Project Seven.

I was able to produce the effect I wanted in Fireworks using the Swap Image feature. 6 thumbnails in two columns on the left - and a 525 / 525 larger picture on the right. This is the effect I wanted. My site is targeted for older cleints - so a 'mouseover' action is the best. Now I've learned something and had a 'eureka' moment. If I can help with this script drop a line. The key was to put all images, big and small into one folder - accessed by Dreamweaver.

Thank you all very much - can hardly wait to see Fireworks 9 !!
