Hi Sean,

What happens when you click on the View menu and select toolbars. Is there an option to view the robohelp toolbar?

Are you seing any other robhelp options on the menu bar? Just trying to picture what you are seeing and what is missing.

thanks
Craig

Hello Craig

There are 4 Robohelp options in the View > Toolbars
Floating roboHELP palette
RoboHelp
RoboHelp Explorer
RoboHelp Gallery

In the Menu bar I have a RoboHelp pulldown with
New Document
Import Document
continuing to
Advanced Settings...
Options

I have to admit, I have added the RoboHelp pulldown in the Menu bar while trying to correct the problem.

I hope this will help you, help me

Many thanks
Sean

Are you seeing Robohelp explorer? on the left?
Also, in your first and second post you said that you see the Robohelp pull down. Am I right in thinking that you see this pull down in the word window BUT only with the following options?

New Document
Import Document
continuing to
Advanced Settings...
Options

When you installed RH, did it ask you to confirm which version of word you have installed?

thanks
Craig

Yes
When I open a RoboHelp for Word Project, Robohelp Explorer is open on the left.

Again yes, the Robohelp pulldown is in the Word window only with the options mentioned.

While trying to recover from this problem I think I may have edited the RoboHelp.dot file somewhere along the line, via the Word window, Tools > templates & addins, and Customise commands.

Could this be the problem?

Hello again

I think I may have been going a little stupid.

I thought there was a problem with RoboHelp because I couldn't see the Help Topic CTRL+T and Insert Quick topic commands in the Robohelp pulldown, however they are in the Insert pulldown.

On a default install of RoboHelp for Word, should there be a RoboHelp pulldown and if so, what commands should there be?

Firstly, look at this Knowledge base article:

Are you pointing to the following template on template and addins?

C:\Documents and Settings\cclarke\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\Robohelp.dot

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=rb_100001
Does this help?

Now look at this thread:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=65&catid=448&threadid=1143700&e...

Hope these help
Kind Regards

Hi Sean,

crossed post there.

So you have everything you need to work with Robohelp for Word now?

As far as the intall goes, I can only recall that the install detects your version of word and provides list of word versions along with the installed version checked - normally you should not need to change this.

Kind Regards
Craig

Please advise.

I thought I had finally got the Normal.dot and RoboHELP.dot templates working correctly, but I was wrong.

When I have RoboHelpx5 for Word open I don't have any RoboHELP pulldown from the menu bar. The pulldown should include the Non-scrolling command among others.

It is not an issue concerning incompatible Acrobat, because I have Acrobat 7.0 Professional installed.

Please help
