      Software writers are not to be trusted by default :)
      I suppose the main reason will be Flash primarily being published on the
      web platform and, you're right, that's the jungle.
      I like a lot of Flash (AS achitecture, symbol nesting etc) but for
      executables i'd really go for Director and it's extensibility.

      As marcobe would probably say: "Use Director as the shell" if you need
      Flash's capabilities _and_ want to change settings on the computer.
