    copying files with Buddy API

    Level 7
      Hi,

      I read on the Buddy API site that you can copy files with it. I want to
      have a DCR in the same folder as my EXE that the EXE can duplicate,
      change its name and copy it to a new location (different folder). Can
      anyone confirm that this is possible with this Xtra? Could you also let
      me know what the Lingo would be? And my last question, I see that you
      can do a few free things with Buddy before having to pay for it. Would
      this fall within the free capabilities?

      Thanks heaps.

          Yes, this is possible.

          From the docs:
          Result = baCopyFile( SourceFile , DestFile , Overwrite )

          Where you provide the full path and name of the SourceFile parameter as
          a #string, perhaps something like _movie.path & "name.dcr" and the same
          for the DestFile (changing the name as desired). Check the help docs
          that ship with the xtra for Overwrite options

          Yes, you can use 2 functions for free.

          FileXtra4 is completely free and offers a copying function too:
