    FTP publishing

Don't let the text on the website fool you. The ftp engine is pretty poor and times out after 2MB, cannot do=confimr transfers. Tech Support's solution after sending them files and testing over about 2 weeks was to use Dreamweaver for ftp or another program....glad I went whole hog and got the Office X5 version.....

Anyone seen any kind of update or fix?

      Thanks,
      Steve

          Hi Steve

To be fair, you may be correct about the FTP. However, FTP is such a tiny facet of what RoboHelp does, I'm not sure that it would be fair to condemn the whole product because of a small weak spot here and there. After all, RoboHelp is designed to facilitate creating help systems. It was never touted as the end all solution for transferring files via FTP.

          Sincerely... Rick

Agreed, I think it is a great program for a software company to build their help files. Once you get into really using webhelp, multiple conditional builds and layouts with batch processing the program falls quite short of expectations. The upgrades could come a bit quicker too...
