Is it static text converted to a symbol? Post url so we can check it out.
Yes, it has been converted to a symbol. Here is the URL.
All the text does is scroll. On the stage it fades up from nothing to the word Text, but when I test it and html it....NADA
Here is what you want:
and here is the source
The solution was to make the text on the stage, then right-click on it and convert it to a symbol (graphic). Create a key frame, move it to its final spot and make another keyframe. Select the graphic in the first keyframe and make the alpha 0. Right click on the first frame and select Motion Tween.
Tweens only work on symbols.
I did that prior to posting, but I am still having the same problem. I THINK there is some kind of conflict between Flash and IE or Windows XP...but I am just guessing.
I used to have problems controlling the alpha and rotating text boxes that were "DYNAMIC". I believe this problems still exists if you save our your flash as an older versions. Not sure where the fix was made... thing version 8.
This is probably the issue. your text box is dynamic.?
Dynamic...not really sure. Since I don't know how to make it Dynamic...I'll say that it isn't Dynamic. How does one create Dynamic text?
Yeah, that was the problem. I changed it from Dynamic to Static and it worked fine. I feel like a dork. However, what is the advantage to using Dynamic over static?
you'll only want it to be dynamic if will will be changing for some reason. either by another actionscript within your movie, or loading text from an external source such as a text file for example.
