    Flash Player 9 installation question

    luiz.bonfa Community Member
I am trying to instal debugger version of Flash Player 9 from the downloaded Flex 2 SDK package.
There are 3 files in the <SDK root>\player\debug directory that look relevant.

      Install Flash Player 9.exe
      Install Flash Player 9 AX.exe
      SAFlashPlayer.exe

An attempt to run Install Flash Player 9.exe results in some popup message about copying files but it happens so fast that there is no chance to read it.

SAFlashPlayer.exe starts a standalone Flash player but there is no way to say if it is a "debugger version" or not.

Install Flash Player 9 AX.exe obviously has something to do with ActiveX version of the Player but again running it gives no indication that anything happens.

Any advise will be appreciated. Any pointing to *meaningful* instruction for SDK installation will be also helpful.

          Hi Luis:

          The 3 files are:

          - player installer for Mozilla/Firefox

          - player installer for IE

          - Stand alone player

Use this link to check the version installed in your system:

How does one "install" the stand alone player.
